If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. Power levels establish tension and drama. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself. Also you shouldn't really buy into what ScrewAttack says, as their research is almost always terrible.ĭoctor. I know some of the scientific formulas for these things but I am not an expert or anything. It really depends on what kind of destruction you are talking about. To destroy Earth you'd need 53 quadtrillion megatons. Looking at the video they said a Supernova was the equivalent of 10 octillion megatons. I know in the Dragon Ball Online timeline Goku and Vegeta leave Earth to have one last fight then years later a supernova was detected and their fight was believed to be a part of it.īullza wrote:No I didn't know that. So I'd say the characters at the very least have a destruction capacity in the septillions whether they reach the octillions depends on how much it'd take to destroy the solar system. For simplicities sake if you said Vegito was as strong as SSJ3 Goku (he's generally considered to be much stronger) then as a SSJ3 his durability would be 1.4 septillion megatons and SSJGod Goku is supposed to be stronger yet but in chapter 2 of Resurrection F Beerus fires a little blast at Goku which destroys the sun and he says had it him him it would have killed him. Someone on here in a thread about Cell solar system busting mentioned that 165 septillion megatons is needed to destroy the sun but more would be required for it to be a fast explosion.Īgain going by screwattacks stats for Goku he has a durability of almost 3.5 sextillion as a SSJ3. I can't find any information on how many megatons it would take to destroy the sun or the solar system however and that'd be interesting to know.
